New York, I Love You

Containing a mix of carefully crafted and interlaced segments, "New York, I Love You" is one of my favorite films featuring Bradley Cooper. The tagline of this simple but heartfelt collection of love stories sums up the overall plot of the film: "Every moment another story begins." Serving as the follow-up to the lovely film "Paris, je t'aime," I love that the city plays a vital role in how the characters are structured; it's almost as if the city of New York itself is a personified character. Starring in Allen Hughes' segment, Bradley Cooper brilliantly takes on his role as Gus, a man worrying over whether a one-night stand with a stranger (played by the wonderful Drea De Matteo) meant something.

Silver Linings Playbook

Last year, Silver Linings Playbook was named one of the highest grossing films of 2012, making it one of the best films featuring Bradley Cooper. Adapted from the novel by Matthew Quick, audiences everywhere were drawn in by the electric chemistry between Bradley Cooper and the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence. The underlying plot of the movie centers around a former teacher who is forced to evaluate his actions after a violent incident and deal with his anger management issues. His portrayal of the character Pat Solitano was incredibly raw and moving.

3

Wedding Crashers

Released in 2005, this movie still manages to make me laugh hysterically! This movie is true to its title, focusing on two divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing wedding parties. Partnering with talented actors Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, Bradley Cooper shines as the jerk Sack Lodge. I can't be the only person who thinks that he plays bad so well!

4

The Hangover Series

It was bittersweet seeing the infamous Wolfpack back in action for a final time in "The Hangover III." In 2009, it become one of the highest grossest films of the year due to its purely comedic nature and accomplished actors. Centering around a series of bachelor parties gone wrong, "The Hangover" series is arguably one of Bradley Cooper's most successful stints in his acting career. Having the equally hilarious Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis on board makes each film even more memorable.

5

Limitless

I found myself intrigued by the clever premise of this film. Based on the book "The Dark Fields," Cooper's character Eddie Morra is a writer who explores the effects of a pill that allows him to use up to 100% of his brain functions. As I am avoiding revealing any spoilers, this brief synopsis clearly doesn't do justice to the actual film. Eddie Morra's actions throughout the movie will have you questioning whether you are with or against him.

He's Just Not That into You

This romantic comedy follows the lives of nine people who face relationship issues. Featuring an all-star cast (including the lovely Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Justin Long), I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved this film. I found myself both relating to and feeling bad for Ginnifer Goodwin's character Gigi, who constantly mistakes her partners' intentions. Bradley Cooper plays Ben, her brother in law who falls for an aspiring singer. Everyone's performance in this film was spot on!

7

Yes Man

Lastly, I will not shy away from the fact that "Yes Man" holds a special place in my heart. Loosely based on the book with the same title by Danny Wallace, it also stars Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. This movie focuses on a man who manages to turn his life around by not being able to say the word "no." Cooper is flawless in his role as the disbelieving best friend. On another note, you will get a kick out of the songs performed by Zooey Deschanel's character Allison and her backing band Munchausen by Proxy (played by real band Von Iva).

If you love laughing, some of these films are definitely worth watching! Similarly, fans of movies that offer insightful character studies will be just as pleased with the options mentioned. What is your favorite film featuring Bradley Cooper?
