7 Awesome Game Shows That I Can't Get Enough of ...

Game shows aren’t my favorite things to watch, but there are a lot of awesome game shows out there! These aren’t that much fun to watch alone though, so if you decide to watch make sure there are people around you to join in on the fun. Who doesn’t like playing along or maybe even poking fun at the contestants?! Here are seven awesome game shows that I just can’t get enough of.

Wheel of Fortune

This is one show that is one of the most awesome game shows to play along with! Unlike some of the other games on this list, the answers aren’t given to the viewers at home. “Wheel of Fortune” has been on for years and people still love it! While you can totally sit around and guess the puzzles by yourself, I find that it’s always more fun to have people with you. I think everyone knows at least one person who is so good at this game that they guess the puzzles in no time; it’s actually quite frustrating.

2

Double Dare

This is one show that I’ve been watching since I was a kid. I never watched the original, but constantly found myself watching the remake on Nickelodeon. Watching the families get messy and do obstacle courses were the best parts. I hated watching the families answer questions. It was just so boring. I wish this show was still on. Nickelodeon recently rebooted “Figure it Out” when really they should have put “Double Dare” back on the air.

3

Pyramid

I don’t care which version of “Pyramid” it is, I love them all. This is probably one of the hardest shows to play along with because the audience is given the answers. That’s probably the part I hate the most. If you really want to play though, just close your eyes and play. This is another show that has been on for a while and it’s obvious why. It’s so much fun to watch!

What’s My Line?

A friend and I stumbled across this gem one night while flipping through the channels and our interest was immediately piqued. “What’s My Line?” was a game show that was on in the '50s and '60s. The show had celebrities asking normal people yes or no questions to try to figure out what line of work they were in. I’m not sure what it is about this show that sucked me in, but ever since we found it, we tend to seek it out.

Deal or No Deal

I used to watch this show all the time! Now, I watch it on the Game Show Network, but when it was originally on I rarely missed an episode. My family loved this show so much that we owned and played the board game. It’s so easy to get sucked into this show, try to play along, and find yourself rooting for the contestants. The best part is when they do something special like introduce the contestant to a celebrity they like or connect them to a family member they haven’t seen in a while. What’s not to like?

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

Family Feud

Another show that’s so much fun to play along with! I constantly find myself screaming answers at the TV. I even play this game online because it’s just too much fun. Doesn’t everyone find themselves picking a team or making fun of some contestants? Is that just me…? When you want to have fun watching TV and there’s nothing else on, check to see if “Family Feud” is on. This game show has been on since 1976 and it doesn’t surprise me. It’s just so good!

7

Baggage

I love this show! It’s so much fun! The point of “Baggage” is that people reveal their baggage to the main contestant and in the end someone gets chosen to go on a date. The best part of this show is seeing their baggage. Sometimes they’re really embarrassing and it’s just so much fun to watch. This is another show that I stumbled on in the middle of the night and now I hope to find it every time I check the Game Show Network to see what’s on.

Now that I think about it, I love game shows. I guess I was wrong in saying that I don’t really watch them. Are there any here that you watch? Which ones do you watch that I didn’t mention?
