7 Teen Shows You Can Enjoy at Any Age ...

I’ve often found that some of the funniest comedies on TV aren’t actually for my age group. Lately, a lot of the really funny comedies on TV have been for the teenage demographic. Whether you’re looking for a bit of teenage nostalgia or you’ve simply run out of shows to binge-watch, these are the teen shows that you should be watching no matter your age!

1

Girl Meets World

Girl Meets World is a great show on its own, but if you were a kid who loved Boy Meets World, you’re even more likely to love it. It’s one of the few Disney Channel shows that has attracted a variety of ages—at first because of the 90s nostalgia, and now because people can still relate to the storylines like they could when Boy Meets World was on TV!

2

Liv and Maddie

I started watching Liv and Maddie during one of those random times where I had very limited channels and there wasn’t much on TV. I didn’t expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you’re someone who has a dry sense of humor or you tend to be sarcastic, you’ll really like this show. (I know you’re wondering: Really? There’s sarcasm on a Disney Channel show? Just take my word for it.)

3

Pretty Little Liars

If you’re a fan of dramas, mysteries, and thrillers like Scandal or Scream Queens, you’ll absolutely become obsessed with this ABC Family mystery series. A lot of adults tend to stay away from it because it’s about high school girls and it’s on ABC Family, but it’s just as thrilling as its more mature counterparts!

4

Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls was a show that was always known for a younger crowd, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only are the jokes funny no matter your age, but so are the topics dealt with by Rory and Lorelai. Plus, if you’re older, you’ll understand Lorelai’s millions of pop culture references better than any teen watching the show!

5

Glee

Okay, so I don’t recommend every season of this show, but it definitely had its moments, especially in the beginning. If you’re someone who loves musicals, or just music in general, you will love this show. Plus, it has just the right amount of jokes but drama that will suck you in and keep you watching!

K.C. Undercover

I’m not going to lie, I probably wouldn’t have tuned into this show had Zendaya not been the star, but I was pleasantly surprised. She’s just as funny as Raven Baxter was, if that’s your Disney Channel era. She’s also a great role model for so many young women, that it’s hard to pass this show up. Basically, she’s the coolest and the show is just as awesome. Watch it. You’ll love it.

7

The Carrie Diaries

If you loved Sex and the City, you’ve probably been curious about this prequel that came a decade after the show ended. It’s a great way to get your fix of the girls if you’re really missing them, but it’s also just as funny and dramatic as the original show was. It may be aimed toward young women, but it’s great no matter your age!

What are your favorite shows that aren’t necessarily for your age group? Let me know in the comments!

Family guy!

Love love love the Gilmore Girls

A few of those are for kids, not teens.

Don't watch the Carrie diaries!! It's really good but you'll get sucked in and it gets cancelled two seasons in!! So disappointing!
