Award season is coming up – I’m so excited! Kind of. Right now, there are a ton of movies available, including the hottest films of the year:

This week, Beneath the Darkness, the spooky thriller starring Dennis Quaid, is one hot new release. There are also tons of movies coming out all through the month. Starting January 10, you can see Higher Ground, killer elite, What’s Your Number?, and There Be Dragons. On January 17th, popular films like Courageous and The Ides of March are out, along with campy Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star and Taylor Lautner’s Abduction. However, I want to focus on one particular film that’s set to drop on the 10th: Moneyball, starring the incomparable Brad Pitt.

There are certain sports films I can’t resist, and Moneyball is one of them. It struck me as a little bit like Jerry Maguire, but, you know, with Brad Pitt. I thought he had great chemistry with jonah hill, who managed to be more subtly funny, even witty, in the film. Here’s the important part:

There’s a certain scene in the film, which doesn’t focus on the Oakland A’s or the bureaucracies of running the baseball team, hiring the ballplayers, or fixing the lineup at all. Rather, it focuses on Billy Beane (Pitt) and his daughter casey, played by kerris dorsey. They’re having a pretty serious discussion, one that highlights her precociousness and his problems. It takes place in the kitchen. It’s a really warm father/daughter moment, and there’s something on the island around which their positioned – a little prop, something to add to the kitchen scene, since Casey is having a treat.

What do you need to do? It’s simple!
