1

Becoming Jane

This movie stars the beautiful Anne Hathaway. She plays Jane Austin, one of the most popular writers of the 19th century. In the film, she puts her love life on hold in order to focus on her career and herself. If you're single this Valentine's Day, the movie will help remind you that there are plenty of things in life that are far more important than landing a boyfriend.

2

The Stepford Wives

This film pokes fun at all of the ridiculous things that men expect their wives to do. If you're fed up with all of the expectations that you're given, then you'll love the message of this movie. Sure, it involves a lot of couples, but once you get to the ending, you'll feel satisfied--or maybe just a little creeped out.

3

Fatal Attraction

This movie is about a married man who decides to hook up with another woman. Don't worry, because he gets what he deserves. His hookup refuses to leave him alone and starts stalking him. No matter what he does, she won't stop, so if you just can't stand cheaters, this is the movie for you.

4

Revolutionary Road

If you love watching Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio together, you have to see this movie. They play a couple that attempt to raise their children, even though it's clear that their marriage isn't working out. If you're upset about being single, this movie will remind you that getting married isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sometimes, you're just better off alone.

5

The Other Woman

If you enjoyed John Tucker Must Die, then you'll like this movie, too. It has a pretty similar plot, except it's about a married woman who discovers that her husband is cheating on her with two other women. Despite the circumstances, the girls end up becoming friends and team up to take the cheater down.

The First Wives Club

As the title suggests, this movie is all about divorce. Three women get together to plan revenge after their husbands leave them for younger women. If that plot doesn't convince you to watch it, knowing that Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, and Goldie Hawn all star in it should get the job done!

7

Why Did I Get Married?

The movie title tells you all you need to know about the story. It's about a few couples that are all questioning why they ever decided to get married. Settling down isn't always a good thing. Sometimes, it can make you feel like your entire life is ruined.

Valentine's Day shouldn't be a miserable time for all of you single ladies. It's a chance to remember that there's nothing wrong with being unattached. Sometimes, it's for the best. What other movies do you plan on watching this Valentine's Day?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I love watching un-romantic movies too but Becoming Jane was so depressing, I love period drama shows and movies which was the reason why I watched it in the first place. I think it's more sad because it's actually based on Jane Austens real love life, which compared to her books was really sad and dissapointing.

The synopses of at least a couple of these movies aren't really accurate. I guess if you want to think of them as "teasers" to get people to watch the actual movie, that's one way of looking at it.
