7 of Audrey Hepburn's Greatest Films ...

Audrey Hepburn's greatest films include just about every film she ever made. I will always regard Audrey Hepburn as one of the greatest actresses to have ever lived! She was Hollywood royalty during her time in the spotlight, and she deserved it! Audrey Hepburn’s greatest films are still loved and admired today, and I’d love to share a few of my favorites with you!

1

Sabrina

I may be a tad bit biased toward this film considering the title is my name... But I truly believe Sabrina is one of Audrey Hepburn’s greatest films! Audrey Hepburn played the role of Sabrina Fairchild, a chauffeur’s daughter, wonderfully! She added feminine elegance and class to the screen as she starred alongside Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. In the film, Sabrina is pursued by the wealthy Larrabee brothers, who are equally charming. Watch this must-see classic to find out which brother she chooses!

2

Roman Holiday

This delightful film is certainly one of Audrey’s best movies! Roman Holiday depicts a completely different version of Audrey Hepburn than Sabrina. In Roman Holiday, Hepburn plays a sheltered princess hungry for adventure while visiting Rome. Princess Ann runs away from her guardians and discovers unique ways to have fun with the help of Joe Bradley, played by the ever-talented Gregory Peck.

3

My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady differs from most of Hepburn’s works in that it's a musical. But a wonderful musical nonetheless! My Fair Lady tells the story of the strange but lovable Eliza Doolittle, who is taught by a snobbish phonetics professor how to become a lady. Her lessons are grueling, but Eliza handles them well and transforms before our very eyes! Audrey’s role makes this movie the funny and heartwarming classic that it is!

4

Funny Face

With a combination like Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn, you simply can’t go wrong! Another one of Hepburn's great musicals, Funny Face depicts Ms. Jo Stockton, a librarian turned international model! The movie moves at a rapid pace, and never has a dull moment. Overall the film is one of Hepburn’s greatest movies ever made!

How to Steal a Million

How to Steal a Million is one of my favorite romantic comedies of all time! The unconventional plot revolves around Audrey’s character, Nicole, who must steal a Cellini Venus sculpture from a Paris museum. But she doesn't have to do this alone; she has a handsome sidekick to help her all along! How to Steal a Million is witty, entertaining, and adventurous. It’s certainly a must-see for all Audrey Hepburn fans!

Famous Quotes

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn is probably best known for her role as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. If a character ever had layers, it was Holly Golightly, the fashionable New York socialite with a dark past. As she attempts to run away from her problems, Holly meets a charming man by the name of Paul Varjak. He’s smooth and irresistible, but are the two really a match made in heaven?

7

Charade

Charade is another favorite of Audrey Hepburn fans. Charade has been called “the greatest Hitchcock film that wasn’t a Hitchcock film” due to its endless intrigue and suspense! But it’s not overwhelmingly dramatic; Hepburn’s character, Regina Lampert, is still refreshing and lovely as ever! But the secrets of theft and deceit surrounding her make Charade one of Hepburn’s best films!

Perhaps I have too much time on my hands, or even a slight obsession with Audrey, because I will watch any movie with Audrey Hepburn’s name in the credits! But no one can help but admire this actress’ greatest works! Which of Hepburn’s films is your favorite?
