17 TV Moments That Made Me Cry like a Baby ...

There have been way too many TV moments that made me cry! I’m admittedly a crybaby when it comes to TV; I just get so emotionally invested. Maybe not every one of these moments made you cry, but I bet there’s at least one! Let’s take a look at ten of the TV moments that made me cry.

The Six Feet under Series Finale

No matter how many times I’ve seen it, I can’t even see a picture from this series finale without wanting to cry. “Six Feet Under” handled its series finale beautifully. It’s no surprise that it made my list of TV moments that made me cry. What’s so sad about it is not only what is actually happening in the end of the episode, even though that’s also devastating, but it’s just so final. There is no doubting what happens to these characters in their lives because the episode tells us everything that we need to know. The first time I saw it, I sat staring at my screen in awe and in tears.

2

Paul Hennesy’s Death

I still can’t get over this episode. Although this article is about moments that made me cry, this whole episode could not be ignored. What makes this episode sad isn’t that the show lost an amazing character, but that John Ritter really did die. With that in mind, the entire episode is a lot sadder than it seems at first. Watching all of the characters react and knowing that they are using their real pain to act through these scenes is heartbreaking. The worst part has to be when Bridget, his daughter that had been strong the whole episode, finally breaks down. Heartbreaking.

3

Sanctuary/Death and All His Friends

I don’t think that I can ever watch these two episodes again. Even though I cried throughout these entire episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy,” I’d have to say that the parts that really did me in were when Meredith miscarried and when Alex got shot. I could barely contain myself when those two parts happened. Those writers were obviously trying to drown their audience in tears because those episodes were just jam packed with reasons to cry!

4

Journey’s End

The episode Journey’s End of “Doctor Who” made me cry for a million different reasons. When it really got to the crybaby point though was when Donna realized that The Doctor was going to erase her memory. Donna was one of my favorite characters and to see her have such a heartbreaking ending and The Doctor losing his best friend was just too much for me to handle. The acting in the scene where she realizes that she’ll never remember him is so great that I actually felt the pain.

5

Goodbye, Michael

I cried a lot in Michael Scott’s last two episodes of “The Office.” I never thought that a comedy would make my cry so much, but I was so sad to lose that character. The parts that really got to me were his attempt at saying goodbye to Jim, who wouldn’t let him talk about how he was going to leave, and when Pam ran to say goodbye to him at the airport. Michael and Pam had a good relationship and it was clear that she was the one person he wanted to say goodbye to the most and when he almost didn’t get to, my heart sank.

I Will Remember You

On “Angel” this episode had so much potential to be an extremely happy episode. They totally had me fooled! Angel and Buffy finally get to be together, but he realizes that he has to make an unfair trade. At the end of the episode he decides that he wants to go back to the way things were before, but that means losing Buffy. Not only that, but she won’t even remember the day that they had together. Angel explains to her that she’s not going to remember and she starts crying and saying that she won’t forget that day, but of course she does.

7

Swan Song

There are a lot of moments worth crying over on “Supernatural,” so it was really hard to choose just one. I finally did it though! Sam and Dean are brothers that are trying to prevent the apocalypse from happening. Sam gets possessed and is beating Dean to death. Dean is pleading with his brother hoping that he can get through to his brother who he knows is somewhere in there. Sam then fights through the possession and in one look into Dean’s eyes you know what he is going to do; he sacrifices himself to save the world. Talk about brotherly love!

8

Anya’s Speech

I’d have to say that the saddest episode of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is “The Body.” It’s the first time Buffy and her friends have to deal with a death that isn’t supernatural related and it’s even harder because it is Buffy’s mom. Watching the episode is really heart wrenching, but the hardest part had to be a speech that Anya makes. Anya used to be a demon and is newly human. In this speech she realizes what death is and in essence realizes her own humanity. You can actually see her starting to have a breakdown as her speech goes on.

9

How Come He Don’t Want Me Man?

I never thought that “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” would make me cry. Then they threw in the dad episode! Will’s dad comes back into the picture and talks about how he wants to have a relationship with Will. Obviously it’s everything Will has wanted, but it doesn’t work out. His dad comes up with an excuse as to why he can’t take Will with him. That isn’t the most painful part though! Will starts to talk to his Uncle Phil about how he’s fine with the whole situation, but as time goes on he starts to break down and after being extremely angry he quietly says “How come he don’t want me man?” and then gives in to a hug.

10

Amber’s Death

How could I forget about Amber’s death?! It wasn’t the whole episode that got me this time, but from the moment that House realized that Amber was dying and on. Knowing that one of my favorite characters, Wilson, was going to lose the woman he loved just broke my heart. It wasn’t necessarily the loss of her character that got to me, but the reactions that the other characters had to her dying. House is one of those shows that can make you cry pretty easily, but it was one of the only times that we lost a main character or almost main character because of death.

11

Plane Crash Episode

When it comes to Grey's Anatomy, it seems like there are more a lot more episodes that make me cry pools of tears in comparison to those that don't. For example in the plane crash episode, the writers barely gave me time to breathe before they threw something even more tear jerking into my face! Lexie dies, Callie loses her leg and Sloan goes into coma, and eventually dies too. The series of episodes that revolve around that crash are just filled with tears, sadness and struggle that are hard to handle especially when you grow so attached to the characters!

12

Glee Quarterback Episode

I don't consider myself as a Glee fan and I never really took the time to invest myself into the plot, but when the news of Cory Monteith's death came about, I made it my mission to watch the Quarterback episode that was made revolving around his death. It's interesting that every character's comments and tears brought so much heaviness into my heart. Lea Michele's character specifically made me sob nonstop, part of it is because she is a good actress but let's admit those tears were as real as they could get. The fact that Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were in a serious relationship beforehand made it even worse!

13

Alaric's Death

Believe it or not but Vampire Diaries is a very versatile show. It contains suspense, romance, drama, action and even horror. Especially when vampire's feelings are heightened, you are bound to see a number of sad emotional breakdowns. One of the saddest moments of the show was when Alaric and Elena died at the same time. Although I knew Elena would never die since she is the main character and they always survive, the fact that Alaric was truly dead just broke my heart. Even though I didn't care much for his character, the effect that his death had on all the other characters was hard to bear!

14

Prue's Death

Charmed used to be one of my favorite childhood shows, which is why even thinking about Prue's Death is so nostalgic. Although Charmed did have some intense tear-jerking moments, Prue's death will always be the one on top. I just remember the whole chaos that occurred after her death and how much it affected Piper. Even the moment when she fell to Prue during the funeral is still embedded into my head.

15

Charlie is "Lost"

There is nothing worse when the writers kill off one of the most lovable characters on the show. Although Charlie was one of the less important people on the island, he had such a good soul! I just remember thinking, 'Charlie protected Claire and her baby with his life, and this is what he gets? It seems like only the good people die!' However, he had an honorable death as chose to sacrifice his own life to help the other castaways to get off the island. It was one of the most devastating moments on TV, that made me sob and shout 'No! No! No!' at the same time.

16

Quentin's Death

Another moment on TV that caused the uncontrollable tears to flow down my cheeks in liters was Quentin's death on One Tree Hill. Although he was fairly new to the show, his character was always so optimistic, cheerful and helpful that it was impossible not to fall in love with him in seconds. But as unfair as it was , he had to die. He was just an innocent victim at the wrong place, at the wrong time and that makes everything even worse!

17

Peter and Olivia Lose Their Daughter, Again

Fringe has always been one of those shows that you quickly get attached to. The plot is so intense and unpredictable that it is often emotionally exhausting to keep up with everything that is going on. One of the moments that really tipped me over was when Etta sacrificed herself to save her parents only after 4 episodes of being back. It just seemed so cruel for Olivia and Peter to lose their daughter once again just as they got her back. She ended up dying in Peter's arms, seconds before they had to leave her body and escape somewhere safe.

I even got a little teary writing this! I tried not to make them all about supernatural shows, but those tend to have more heartbreaking moments for me. Do you disagree with any of these? What TV moments made you cry?

Swan song made me cry too. Omg.

It was a very sad and teary moment when Wilson died on House.

How could u not include when Fred/Wesley die in Angel. 'Please Wesley, why can't I stay?' 'Would you like me to lie to you now?' Those lines still choke me up :(

And when Keith gets shot in One Tree Hill

I was hoping to see Game of Thrones 😒

um, HELLO! oth

What about when marissa dies from the OC!? So sad :( or when opi gets beaten to death in Sons of anarchy!?

When Rick's wife died in "The Walking Dead"! I cried so hard! My lil bro looked at me like I was crazy! :)

The Finale and especially the ending of Six Feet Under.. I cried and sat down in shock as the ending played out. I loved John Ritter, he had so many fans...when he died it was complete shock, he was in the studio taping the show and the next he rushed to the hospital and he dies.. it makes it worse that he really did die; I cried and could barely watch that episode.
