1. & 2. Lucille Ball & Vivian Vance
I put these two together because most of their work is done together in the old, classic shows like "I Love Lucy" and "The Lucy Show." Bringing two women together who both have a great sense of humor and also being great friends is bound to create some funny laughs. They definitely deserve their spot as a couple of the 7 top Female TV comedians.
3. Gilda Radner
Radner was an awesome member of the original SNL cast. She outshined her two female colleagues on the variety show with great characters like Roseanne Roseannadanna, Lisa Loopner, Baba Wawa, and Emily Litella.
4. Carol Burnett
Burnett has a fun sense of humor, which led to her having her own successful variety show, "The Carol Burnett Show" that lasted for eleven years. She wasn’t afraid of playing wacky looking characters, showing that she was confident and didn’t take herself too seriously.
5. Doris Roberts
Even though she has appeared in many shows and movies, the only character that comes to mind when I see her is the popular character, Marie Barone, from "Everybody Loves Raymond." Playing the overbearing and intrusive mother, she did a great job of being a character who drove you crazy but you adored as well.

6. Alyson Hannigan
Of the currently active female comedians, Alyson Hannigan stands out of the bunch. The majority of her work are comedies in both film and TV with the "American Pie" franchise and the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother." She certainly deserves more praise than what she receives.

7. Amanda Bynes
The younger millennials were first introduced to the skit comedy genre with "The Amanda Show" on Nickelodeon. Only being in her early teens, Bynes blew it out of the park with her hilarious sketches like Judge Trudy, The Girl’s Room, Penelope Taynt, The Dare Show, Stranded, The Klutzes and many more. Though she had her downfall a few years back, she is doing better and I hope she returns to her stardom as a comedian.
So that is my list. If you have never heard of some of them, please check out their most iconic roles. You are truly missing out.
