13 Worst TV Series Finales That Should Be Changed ...

There are tons of worst TV series finales out there, it was tough to narrow it down to just my top 13! Now, I watch a lot of TV and there have been a lot of moments after a TV series ends that I've had the 'WTF' moment. Have you had that? Well, let's take a look at my top 13 worst TV series finales that totally should be changed up!

Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls Now, I absolutely love the Gilmore Girls. This was definitely one of my favorite shows when it was on and I couldn't wait until the next new episode to come on every Tuesday. Was I disappointed by the series finale? Yes! I thought that they could have done it completely differently and that's why this was one of my worst TV series finales. I would have loved to see Luke unmistakably together with Lorelai, would have loved to see Rory marry Logan.

United States of Tara

United States of Tara I loved this show. I thought that this show was so unique and so different. It was about a disorder that doesn't get a heck of a lot of light shed on it. The ending? It was weird, it was awkward, it didn't tie up anything! I think that this show could have gone on for one more season and it would have been great!

3

Roseanne

Roseanne All right, so I am actually re-watching all of the Roseanne episodes out there and this series finale killed me. I hated it. It was all a dream/story that she made up and DAN DIED! Did you know that? Dan died. How could they kill off one of the best characters on there? This did not tie anything up and it wasn't beautiful – it was sad and I wish that they would have let Dan live, let them win the lottery and let everything stay the same.

4

Entourage

Entourage Oh, this was my 'WTF' moment. When I watched the Entourage series finale, I stayed at the TV for a few more seconds after it ended wondering what I just watched. I think that it could have gone in so many other directions and been so much better!

5

Lost

Lost I really think that Lost was one of the biggest disappointments in the way of series finales. There were so many burning questions that I had and honestly, what? Did you have the same moment I did when you watched the Lost series finale? Were you upset by it?

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs All right, so the only reason that this series finale is on the worst list is because it's so, so sad – and it can be confusing for the kids that watched the show. Basically, extinction comes into play and the entire family freezes to death – or at least, that's what they 'imply' happens. Crazy, right? In a show that everyone loved? I think they should have changed it completely and just had it fade out.

7

The Sopranos

The Sopranos 'WTF,' Sopranos?! You were such a good show when you first came on and through most of the seasons! How do you end a series that was this iconic like that? Truthfully, I had so many burning questions and I was so upset, I vowed I wouldn't get into another show like that.

8

Seinfeld

Seinfeld Seinfeld was one my favorite shows after it was in syndication. I just loved watching Jerry, Kramer, George and Elaine and all their crazy antics and conversations about nothing. Some have even gone so far as to say it’s the best show ever. Be that as it may, their series finale was a total fail! The show basically ended with the fab four in jail for violating a Good Samaritan law talking about nothing!

9

Beverly Hills, 90210

Beverly Hills, 90210 Beverly Hills, 90210 was a super popular drama in the 1990s that chronicled the lives of a group of high school friends in Beverly Hills. The cast ended up going through a lot of changes and the series finale was a total bore. Dylan returned to the series, Donna and David got married and Brenda was nowhere to be found.

10

Sex and the City

Sex and the City Even though SATC lived on with two films after the series finale, I can’t help but think back to how disappointing the show ended! I felt like I knew Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte like my own friends and I think they deserved better! Yes, I’m happy Charlotte got a baby but Carrie’s whole Paris situation was just not her!

11

The X-Files

The X-Files The X-Files was a great sci-fi series that came out like a lion and went out like a lamb. To make matters worse Agent Mulder, played by David Duchovny, was only seen intermittently throughout the final two seasons. Although there were X-files movies, fans were still left with many questions unanswered and without any closure.

12

Alias

Alias J.J. Abrams’ smart, sexy spy-drama series Alias is another TV series that ended leaving many fans wanting more. The few final episodes were jam-packed with information since ABC decided to shorten the series, which infuriated many fans as it made the show harder to follow. While many will agree that the acting was incredible, Jack dying and Irina being evil just didn’t do it for fans.

13

The West Wing

The West Wing A clever TV show about the White House would surely leave fans with a fulfilling and exciting ending, right? Not the case with The West Wing! Many people argue that the inauguration of a new president was just too easy and that they expected so much more from the show.

So, while these are my 'WTF,' worst series finales, do you have any more that you can share? Do you have any more that just pissed you right off?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Sigh why couldn't the lost finally be as good as the show? :(

That 70's show also had a pretty bad ending.

Alias would have been much better without that whole Rambaldi fiasco. The intrigue of taking out all the SD cells was good enough without all of that extra

Seinfeld is known as one of the worst series finales- it was a let down from a hilarious show!

I didn't know the United States of Tara ended? You've crushed my hopes & dreams...

@Jake TwoSheds Elliott I might be mistaken, but I don't think Stephanie Cormack meant she thought everyone was dead the whole time. I think she was referring to season 6's flash-sideways in which all our favorite dead characters (Charlie, Shannon, Boone, et al.) returned. I too was a little hopeful throughout the season (and more so once they began offing near-every last one of our beloved characters come those last episodes) that somehow, by way of some ingenious Lindelof-Cuse contrived sci-fi plot twist, that in the end the flash-sideways would merge with the present day island in so everyone could be reunited—in the land of the LIVING. We all know how that flash-sideways ended up going, though, and I fall in the disappointed column. I understood both the finale and what the show was truly about just fine—and most of my questions were answered. I just didn't LIKE those answers.

MAKE IT OR BREAK IT!

Tyler Perry's house of pain I hated that ending so much I mean really. I would have been happier with Calvin dieing from the gunshot, it would have made more sense.
