Last week, I saw the extended trailer for “The Hunger Games” on GMA, and I have to admit, it made me misty-eyed. I can’t wait to see it in March! I had to add it to my list of must-see new movies. It also got me thinking… what other new movies are coming out that I can’t wait to see? I did a little research and here they are… here are the trailers for 8 movies I can’t wait to see.

Yeah, I loved the book. And yeah, I can’t wait to see this movie! I already know what happens, of course, but I still have to see it, on the big screen, Katniss and Peeta competing against 22 other tributes from Panem in the arena. Just one more reason to look forward to spring!

I’m a complete and utter nerd, I know. But I love the Muppets, especially Kermit and the two old guys in the balcony, Waldorf and Statler. I also love actress Amy Adams and I can’t wait to see her in this movie, due out on Thanksgiving.

This is another new movie I can’t wait to see, hitting theaters on Thanksgiving, too… it’s based on the book “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” and tells the story of 12-year-old Hugo, an orphan who lives in the walls of a 1930’s train station, resetting the clocks and slowly solving a mystery his father left for him.

I freely admit I first wanted to see this movie because it stars one of m favorite young actors, Dev Patel. But I also love the plotline: a retired British couple takes over what they think is a newly restored hotel in India. Of course, the hotel isn’t restored, with comedic results.

I loved the first “Underworld” movie (is there anything hotter than Kate Beckinsdale in black leather?) but was so disappointed in the next 2 movies… hopefully, this new movie will be better… I can’t wait to see it!

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are the perfect Sherlock and Watson! I can’t wait to see them together again, this time battling Dr. Moriarty. Just like the first one, from 2009, it’s directed by Guy Richie (I love his humor and action sequences) and it’ll be out before Christmas.

The original “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” movies starring Noomi Rapace are going to be hard to match, but if anyone can be a better Mikael Blomkvist, it’s got to be the gorgeous Daniel Craig. The movie should follow the book, thrilling and suspenseful, but perhaps toned down for puritanical American viewers.

I can’t wait to see this new movie because I loved the story and characters in the book, but it was really hard to follow. It’s about a young boy who loses his father in the terrorist attacks of September 11, then follows a trail through the city of New York, looking for a message his father may have left for him.
These are only a few of the new movies coming out soon that I can’t wait to see… and the list doesn’t even include “The Hobbit,” because I couldn’t find a trailer for it yet! Which of these new movies are you the most excited about? Or is there another new movie you’re dying to see?
