All nominees are VERY deserving of the recognition so it's always hard to tell who will go home with the award! Check out seven of the top 2015 Oscar nominees and leave a comment to let me know who YOU think will be victorious!

1 The Theory of Everything

With five Academy Award nominations, The Theory of Everything has a very good chance of going home with an award. If you haven't seen it yet, DO IT! The movie was magnificent and Eddie Redmayne (nominated for Best Actor) and Felicity Jones (nominated for Best Actress) really gave it their all. The film was also nominated for Best Picture, Original Score and Adapted Screenplay. Fun fact: The Theory of Everything is the only film this year that has been nominated for both Lead Acting categories!

Frequently asked questions

2 American Sniper

Breaking box office records during its weekend opening, American Sniper is a fan-favorite for some Oscar wins. The film, starring Bradley Cooper has six nominations, including Best Picture! Cooper, who has been nominated for Best Actor before, received another nod for this role. Could this be his year?! The film was also nominated for Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing.

3 Birdman

Birdman was one of the most talked-about movies this year! It received nine nominations from the Academy, including Best Picture. The film is also recognizing Michael Keaton (Best Actor), Edward Norton (Best Supporting Actor) and Emma Stone (Best Supporting Actress). Do you think the movie will take home any of the awards?

4 Foxcatcher

I'm a massive fan of all the nominees this year but I'm especially rooting for Steve Carell to win Best Actor! I think he proved himself Oscar-worthy with his role in Foxcatcher. It's amazing to see a "comedic" actor exceed all expectations in a dramatic role. That's what makes a fantastic actor! The film also received nods for Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo), Directing, Makeup & Hairstyling, and Original Screenplay.

5 The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game was quite the fan-favorite at the box office! It's nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch), Best Supporting Actress (Keira Knightley), Directing, Film Editing, Original Score, Production Design, and Adapted Screenplay. Have you seen the film? Do you think it should win any of these categories?

6 The Grand Budapest Hotel

Just like Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel leads the nominees with 9 nods. It's nominated in the following categories: Best Picture, Cinematography, Costume Design, Directing, Film Editing, Makeup and hairstyling, Original Score, Production Design, Original Screenplay.

7 Boyhood

Boyhood made cinematic history and was honored with six nominations. The film received nods in: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ethan Hawke), Best Supporting Actress (Patricia Arquette), Directing, Film Editing, and Original Screenplay! I loved the film and definitely think it'll walk away with at least one of these awards.
