Imagine living with two children allergic to the sun, a husband away at war and a big house that seems haunted by an other-worldly being. That’s the life that mother Grace lives in this movie featuring Nicole Kidman. But with the new and mysterious help who’ve come to help, things will be getting easier soon. Or will they? It’s a great thriller that I highly recommend.

The Golden Compass

I read “The Golden Compass” and was eager to see the movie upon its release. I’m glad I did because it turned out nothing short of wonderful. The plot is engaging and tells the story of young Lyra who ventures to find her lost friend Roger in a world unlike our own. Nicole Kidman plays Marisa Coulter in an unforgettable performance. It definitely gets you thinking about some very philosophical topics, opening up the room for conversation.

3

Bewitched

On iTunes: itunes.apple.com

Who doesn’t love the classic story of “Bewitched”? The movie follows the same premise of the old TV show and stars Nicole Kidman as Isabel Bigelow/Samantha. Kidman co-stars alongside Will Ferrell so be ready to laugh when you see this film. The kicker is that Isabel is actually a witch, taking the story to a whole new level.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman star in this film as sisters with a secret. The two always knew something was up and the fact that they have magical powers confirms it. The sisters need to work together to fight off the family curse and save the lives of all the Owens women. Don’t just take my word for it, check it out for yourself!

Moulin Rouge!

This Australian film was nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actress. Set in the Montmartre Quarter of Paris, the story follows a young English writer who’s fallen in love with the terminally-ill, talented cabaret actress Satine, played by Kidman. Their story unfolds in a remarkable musical that has definitely earned its rank as one of the best films featuring Nicole Kidman. In fact, it is listed on IMDB as her most famous role yet.

Simply amazing! The story follows Eric Lomax’s outstanding memoir about his experience as a POW at a Japanese labor camp during World War II. It’s raw and powerful. His relationship with his love leads him to confront the memories he’s haunted with throughout the film.

Suzanne Stone, played by Kidman, wants her time in the spotlight and will even kill to get there. As the film’s slogan suggestions, “All she wanted was a little attention.” Stone enlists three teenagers to kill her husband. You should check out this film if you haven’t already.

Nicole Kidman is a fabulous actress and I can’t wait to see more of her films, such as her upcoming role as Princess Grace in “Grace of Monaco.” What are some of your favorite films with this outstanding actress?

Far and Away is really good!

dead calm was awesome too.

I have to add 'Australia', an EPIC film with Hugh Jackman.

The hours - also a great movie. Though she has co-starred in it

Agreed!! ^^

Bad actress and equally bad films she has been in. Can't see what the US box office sees in her

Nicole starred in Bangkok Hilton, which was a three-part Australian mini-series in 1989. I think this is her best work to date and she was probably 19 or 20 when this was filmed. This is such a difficult series to get hold of, but I just searched and I see where there are Parts 1 and 2 on You Tube. Without watching it, I can't say if the entire series is represented. Nicole fans should definately check this out. Superb!
