1. Alien

The woman in this movie is arguably the best female character of all time. She's strong, smart, and independent. She doesn't need a man to protect her from the unknown, because she's perfectly capable of taking care of herself. Even though she's tossed into an environment filled with creatures she knows nothing about, she still manages to survive, because she's just that talented.

2. Mulan

You've probably seen this Disney film before, but you can always watch it again. It's about a woman who runs away from home and impersonates a soldier by pretending to be a man. Of course, even though she's actually a woman, she ends up being just as capable as the real men around her. She proves that your gender doesn't define you.

3. Terminator 2

Most of the time, sequels are never as great as the original. However, Terminator breaks that rule. The second film is even more intense than the first one. Why? Because of Sarah Connor. She goes from being a sweet, innocent girl to a badass chick who knows how to protect herself, her son, and the world.

4. Erin Brockovich

The best part of this film is that it's inspired by a true story. It's about a single mother who "becomes a legal assistant and almost single-handedly brings down a California power company accused of polluting a city's water supply." It shows just how much a woman can accomplish when she sets her mind to it.

5. Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde shouldn't be your role models, considering that they're criminals. However, Bonnie does a great job of portraying a strong woman. She's just as talented and mischievous as Clyde is. Even though she's madly in love, she doesn't let it distract her from her goals. She still knows how to get away with murder--literally.

6. Thelma and Louis

Thelma and Louis start out by living dreary, boring lives with men who try to control their every move. At first glance, they appear to be weak willed and dependent. However, after they take a vacation together to escape their stressful lives, all of that changes. They end up proving how strong and independent they really are. They prove that any woman can be a strong woman.

7. Kill Bill

A woman can be just as talented as a man. She can be just as clever as a man. She can be just as dangerous as a man. Kill Bill proves all of that. It's about a woman who knows how to use a gun to keep herself alive. The movie shows that women can be gorgeous and deadly at the same time.
