1

“Silver Linings Playbook”

The film adaptation of the novel (featuring the same title) by Matthew Quick was one of the highest grossing films of 2012, making it one of the most interesting movies featuring Jennifer Lawrence. The premise revolves around a teacher, played by the brilliant Bradley Cooper, who tries to start his life over after being involved in a brutal incident. After watching Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of the character Tiffany, it should come as no surprise that she ended up winning an Oscar for the role.

2

“X-Men: First Class”

This movie is the prequel to the popular X-Men movie franchise. It focuses on Professor Xavier in his youth and his involvement with the government in training young mutants. The on-screen chemistry between Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy makes the connection that their respective characters share that much more intriguing.

3

Winter's Bone

Watching the concept of this movie come to life was incredibly humbling. Playing a young girl who is on a search for her father, this is a story of addiction and forgiveness. Winner of the 2010 Sundance Grand Jury Prize, this film was just as successful as the novel it was based on.

4

“the Hunger Games”

As a lover of this magnificent franchise, I was excited, as well as nervous, when I found out that a film adaptation was being released. This novel/movie depicts the story of a girl who volunteers in place of her sister to take part in a televised match where only one person can come out as the victor. Her role as Katniss Everdeen can be credited as catapulting her to fame.

5

“like Crazy”

This tale of two people that fall for each other, only to be separated by unforeseen circumstances, features a heart-wrenching premise. As a British foreign exchange student, Anna (portrayed by Felicity Jones) is denied re-entry into the U.S. after visiting her family in her home town. The movie depicts the story of how the couple learns to cope with this unfortunate event. It is interesting to note that the dialogue between the characters is actually improvised!

"the Burning Plain"

"The Burning Plain" focuses on the lives of different people and the difficulties they face. "Love heals. Love absolves. Love burns." As the official tag line of the movie, it accurately describes the journey that each character goes on in order to either forget the past or change the future.

7

“Serena”

Lastly, this film is certainly intriguing enough to be a part of this list. Re-uniting co-stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, this film tells the story of a married couple who learn that they cannot have children together. However, the story does not end there. Set during the Great Depression and featuring an intricate and dark plot line, this is one movie that I will be sure to catch!

One of my biggest reasons for loving Jennifer Lawrence is her ability to successfully portray diverse characters. When watching interviews that show both her resilient nature and comedic side, it is not hard to reconcile this actress with all of her amazing attributes. What are some of your favorite films starring Jennifer Lawrence?

I love Jennifer Lawrence I think she is a wonderful actress and her work is always very intriguing! She makes her characters different and brings them to life, which is what a great actress does. She always captivates me when she is in screen. I also agree that she seems down to earth, which is really pretty amazing! I love watching her preform.

I really like JLa, her interviews are the best she's so down to Earth and human...like Jennifer Aniston's little sister or something!

One you forgot was the burning plain but I've seen all but Serena and x men which I'm dying to see!!! This really is a favorite because Jen Is like my idol... She's really diwn to earth and hilarious. I love listening to her interviews because you never know what she's going to say.

Winter's bone was filmed in Forsyth, MO a very small town in southern MO. As much I as hated that movie, it was really awesome to see where each individual scene was shot. And to know that the entire movie was shot just from areas in Forsyth with no back drops or green screens. And I got to meet Jennifer Lawrence while she filming that movie. However, I would not recommend Winter's bone... It was very... Disturbing.

Yes! I was waiting to see if you included, Like Crazy. Good job

I really like her movies such a great actress
