There are so many TV shows I wish I had watched. You would think that as an obsessed TV watching, I would have seen at least one episode of every show, but this isn’t true. There are a lot of shows that I wish I had caught in the beginning and now it just seems too late to get into them! Let’s take a look at seven TV shows I wish I had watched when they first came on.

1. Fringe
There’s only one reason that I didn’t watch “Fringe.” People may not think that it was the best reason, but it was because “Supernatural” was competing for the time slot. Almost the entire time that the shows have been on at the same time, “Fringe” has beaten it both in awards and in ratings. “Fringe” is right up my alley since it’s a sci-fi show and yet, I never got into it; maybe it’s not too late! Just because the series is ending doesn’t mean I can’t watch it! I might just have to.
2. Castle
Nathan Fillion, I love you. I’m a big fan of his from shows he has done in the past, such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Firefly,” and “Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.” He’s a talented actor and I’m sure that any show he’s in would be good. “Castle” has gotten rave reviews from critics as well as people I know who watch the show. Usually cop or detective shows aren’t my kind of thing, but with a twist I’m always ready to dig my teeth in!
3. Downton Abbey
As someone who watches a lot of British TV, some may think that I watch “Downton Abbey,” but I don’t! This is one show that I’ve heard so many good things about that I don’t even know why I haven’t watched it. The first season is available on Netflix, so I should watch it; I just haven’t gotten around to it. “Downton Abbey” has an amazing cast and I’m sure the writing is great too! I regret not watching this show when it started and feel like I’m just jumping on the bandwagon if I start watching it now, but I might have to watch it anyway.
4. Parenthood
I’m a huge Peter Krause fan! You would think that that means I’d watch this show, but sadly I didn’t. I did try to watch the first season, but it isn’t the kind of show I can watch from start to finish with barely any breaks. “Parenthood” is an amazing show that features some amazing writers and actors, but it can be emotionally taxing. While there are moments guaranteed to make you smile, there are also moments that will surely make you cry.

5. Entourage
Who doesn’t love “Entourage"?! This is one of those shows that is everyone’s favorite show. Well, it’s not mine. I couldn’t tell you the amount of people who have said that they love this show and have suggested that I watch it. Of course, the temptation is there since it is being played on Comedy Central now, but who wants to watch the edited version of a show?! Entourage looks like a show designed for men, but there are countless women who have gotten into the show (and not just for the good looking guys).

6. 30 Rock
Tina Fey. That in itself should have been reason enough to watch this show and yet, it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I did try to watch “30 Rock,” but the first season wasn’t that great. I tried so hard, but I just couldn’t get into it! Tina Fey is absolutely amazing and hilarious, but the first season of this show just didn’t live up to expectations. The later seasons look really funny, so it makes me regret that I never got into it.
7. Raising Hope
Here’s one show that never looked like it was going to be a hit and yet here we are seasons later and it’s still going strong. I tried getting into “Raising Hope” a few seasons after it originally aired and it never really clicked with me. At first it didn’t bother me that I never got into this show, but as the seasons go on I get a little more upset about the fact that I don’t watch it. “Raising Hope” looks really funny now, but when it started it just wasn’t that funny. I should have given it more time.
Now that I think about it, it’s never too late to start watching new shows! The fact that I never got into these doesn’t mean I can’t. Do you suggest any of these shows? Are there any shows you wish that you wish you had watched from the beginning?
