7 TV Shows That Everyone Should Be Watching ...

“Mad Men” is going on its sixth season, but there’s still some time to catch up. The show is about an advertising agency in the 1960s and all of the people who work there. “Mad Men” is almost perfect in every way. Along with the fact that it is aesthetically pleasing, it is also filled with amazing episodes, writing, acting, characters, and everything else that makes a great show. I didn’t get into this show until it had already been on for four seasons, but I started to catch up and got addicted. This is definitely one of the shows everyone should be watching.

“The Following” is a new show that everyone needs to start watching ASAP. Warning, it can be really disturbing, but it’s also really fantastic. It’s about a serial killer that creates a group of followers while in jail and is finding ways to build a cult of serial killers. I didn’t think that this is a show I’d like, but I was wrong. Halfway through the pilot episode I was hooked! Between the amazing and original story line, awesome acting, and great writing this show has everything! I really can’t say enough about how good this show is.

I really thought that “Touch” was going to be a boring show, but I was wrong and ended up getting chills pretty much every single episode. There have been maybe two episodes that haven’t exceeded my expectations in every way. “Touch” is about an autistic child that can see the way the universe is connected and leads his father on a path to connect the dots. It’s a really touching story (no pun intended) that also includes some really amazing moments that will give you chills and/or make you cry.

Oh “Modern Family”! This is definitely one of the funniest shows on this list and on TV right now. It’s a great show if you’re in the mood to laugh, but that’s not all the show is about. “Modern Family” shows that there is not one particular kind of family and that even when things seem bad, they can almost always get better. A funny show with a message can get a little preachy, but not “Modern Family.” Everyone should be watching this show!

I’m pretty sure that a lot of people will disagree with this show because it’s about zombies, but put that aside for a second. Yes, “Walking Dead” is about the zombie apocalypse, but really it’s about how people survive when they’re put under a certain kind of situation. This show demonstrates how people can come together in times of crisis and that people aren’t always what they seem. There are a lot of really good messages in this show, but it’s also just really awesome to watch!

I haven’t really watched too much of “Girls,” but that’s because I don’t have HBO, not because I didn’t want to watch it. This is a really great show created by the brilliant Lena Dunham that I wish I have seen more of. I’ll definitely be watching it at some point. It’s a really great show about life, friendship, and finding yourself. There are moments that will make you laugh and make you cry, but you’ll be enjoying yourself either way.

It’s probably weird that there’s a cartoon on this list, but really it’s hilarious. I wasn’t going to mention it and then I realized that it really is one of the funniest shows that I watch. There isn’t anything insightful to say about “Archer” and I won’t tell you that it will teach you anything, but it will make you laugh out loud and sometimes that’s really all we need. I know that I look forward to it every week and a lot more people should be watching it!
