1. Hocus Pocus
I'm pretty sure Hocus Pocus tops every list of classic halloween movies to watch. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to get to it. It stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy as 17th century witches who return to Salem 300 years later. The three kids who accidentally resurrected these witches in the first place now have to do all they can to keep them from returning the city to the way it was when they first lived. This movie has everything you need: witchcraft, black cats, and comedy.
2. Casper
It's not Halloween without Casper the friendly ghost, right? There are a lot of different versions of the movie but the 1995 one with Christina Ricci is my favorite. Of course, who could resist watching Casper Meets Wendy starring Hilary Duff? These are perfect for the Halloween season!

3. Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice! We all know the story, right? This one's a classic. After dying in a car crash, the ghosts of Adam and Barbara Maitland remain in their home. When their house is sold to the Deetz family, they're not all that pleased. They hire BeetleJuice to scare them away but, well, things get a lot more complicated than they expected.
4. The Nightmare before Christmas
Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. When he becomes bored with the town's holiday, he finds himself in Christmas Town. He then kidnaps Santa (oh my!) and puts his own spin on the holiday. So, I guess you get the best of both holidays with this movie.
5. Corpse Bride
Oh, the drama. Victor Van Dort (voiced by Johnny Depp) marries the corpse bride, a skeletal woman who happens to be, well, dead, but this wasn't the woman he was going to marry initially! Now, he has to chose between his Corpse Bride and his once-fiance.

6. Scream
I'm sure you've noticed, but Scream is on all the time during the Halloween season. The franchise has become a classic. The Ghostface killer reappears in all the movies and things get very complicated as people try to find him. Let's just say that there aren't so many survivors.
7. Halloweentown
If you grew up watching Disney, you grew up with the Halloweentown movies! It's about three siblings who discover their Halloween-loving grandmother is a witch from a place called Halloweentown! There are three sequels... movie marathon, anyone?
8. Halloween
Time to add something a little scary to the list. It's about a murderer who killed his brother and sister when he was little. He, of course, was institutionalized but now he's escaped and has started stalking his new prey. Keep the lights on, friends!
9. The Addams Family
Is it really Halloween if you don't watch The Addams Family? This 1991 film has made it on to everyone's must-watch list since its release.
Well, there you have it. There are SO many other Halloween movies that are binge-worthy but these just so happen to be a few of my favorites. Which movies do YOU love to watch every year?
