7 Exciting Movies to Watch out for in 2015 ...

By Cris

Because there are several exciting movies to watch out for in 2015, many people say that next year might be the biggest year for cinema ever – and its stream of loyal movie goers. So many films of different forms and genres are coming out in 2015 and it’s impossible not to get excited about them. I initially listed down seven films that I am looking forward to watching next year and then compared it with my movie viewing partner, Jeff, (who also happens to be my husband). Here are the seven movies to watch out for in 2015 according to our obviously biased criteria for judging:

1. The Avengers: Age of Ultron

This film is on top of our list of movies to watch out for in 2015 because what could be more exciting than seeing Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury in one film … again! Add to that mix the presence of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen respectively) and we are up to a heroic showcase of power, teamwork and friendship come May 2015. Oh, James Spader is Ultron!

2. The Minions

It is said that minions work for the world’s most vicious villains. That’s why we saw them alongside Gru in Despicable Me 1 and 2. They are loyal, trustworthy and fun! So when it was announced that they will have their own movie, well, I couldn’t be happier for them. The movie is scheduled to be released in July 2015. Time to load up on bananas, er, patience Dear Fans!

3. Star Wars: Episode VII

For the record, this came out in Jeff’s list (not in mine) but I included this here because Star Wars is Star Wars and honestly, you really can’t take ignore it. 30 years have passed but Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia return with C3P0 and R2D2. Evil once again threatens the Galaxy and it’s time to hop into the Millennium Falcon. This one is going to be a really looong wait because the expected released schedule is not until December 2015.

4. Cinderella

I am particularly curious how Disney will play this live action movie. The animated film version released in 1950 saved the studio from bankruptcy and was labelled as “the greatest since Snow White (released in 1937)”. Lily James is playing the title role while Cate Blanchett is her wicked stepmother, Lady Tremaine. They should be out for the world to see on March 2015.

Embrace the power of cinematic storytelling by enjoying films with simple yet captivating names. Explore this curated list of fascinating one word movie titles, designed especially for women who value compelling narratives and thought-provoking themes. These titles offer a fresh perspective on femininity and the nuances of womanhood, allowing you to embark on memorable viewing experiences from the comfort of your home.

5. Bond 24

I’m not a fan of Daniel Craig but I’m a fan of James Bond. I’ve watched different actors played the role of 007 from Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan and I’ve always been enamored by the storyline so it really didn’t matter to me who plays Bond. I am interested to see how Craig will carry the role in this film after Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.

6. Pitch Perfect 2

The plot of the first Pitch Perfect film was ordinary but I liked it because of the singing and the choreography. And don’t we love movies that turn the underdogs to winners?Elizabeth Banks – the woman who played Effie Trinket in Hunger Games – is directing and co-starring as the commentator, Gail Abernathy-McKadden. I cannot wait to see Fat Amy Again in May 2015!

7. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Rounding up my list of seven movies to watch out for next year is no other than The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (November 2015). Part 1 will be released this November 20, 2014! Last year, we were treated to another cliffhanger ending in Catching Fire where Katniss was told by Gail that her mother and sister survived but District 12 no longer exists – and a rebellion is happening!

Which among these films are you looking forward to watch next year?
