They’re not exactly made in large numbers, if you know what I mean. It takes some searching to find movies that focus on strong women. If you’re looking for movies about strong women for your next movie night, look no further than this list.
Pitch Perfect is the latest and ultimate girl power movie to hit the big screens. Whether you’re watching the first movie or the second movie, both sum up what it’s like to have amazing girlfriends you can lean on for support. Whether you love singing with your friends or you just love to hang out with your friends, you’ll see yourselves in these women.
If you’re looking for a feel-good movie to laugh at with your girls, you really can’t go wrong with Bridesmaids. It’s the movie that every group of girlfriends reaches for when they need to quit thinking and just laugh. Even if you’ve seen it a million times, this is the ultimate girls’ night movie.

The first time I saw Clueless, I was in the 8th grade and I watched it with my lifelong best friend. Legally Blonde is the ultimate girl power movie. It’s one of the few movies out there that stars a woman who is just as obsessed with fashion as she is with her career. A lot of people don’t give it a fair chance because it seems so girly, but even if you’re not a fan of girly movies, this is one to add to your list!
Another movie about a group of girlfriends, this is a movie you need to see. If you haven’t seen the entire TV series and already fallen in love with this group of girlfriends, then you will by the time you’re done with these movies. They’re imperfect and flawed just like we are, but we love them anyway!
I call this movie the original Eat, Pray, Love. If you loved Eat, Pray, Love, you’ll love this movie even more than that. It’s for all of the women out there who want to escape to Italy and rethink life, no matter where you’re at in life. If you need to recharge, this movie will give you a sense of that!
