There are so many big movies to look forward to in 2018. If you are anything like me, then the beginning of every month starts with a look at the cinema listings to see which new movies will be coming out over the course of the next few weeks! Movies are a huge source of enjoyment and escapism to many people all over the world, and with awards season now behind us, it’s time to look forward and take a look at the cinematic delights that are coming. Here are some of the most interesting and exciting movies to look forward to in 2018!

1. Avengers: Infinity War
Marvel has been hitting the superhero movie world hard for ten years now, and it feels like everything before has been working up to this moment, for Avengers: Infinity War! It’s going to be one hell of ride, with pretty much all of the most loved and best known Marvel characters coming forward to do battle. An insane power struggle between good and evil that will be unforgettable!
2. Deadpool 2
And speaking of superheroes, 2018 is the year that we get to revisit the crazy world of Deadpool! Ryan Reynolds is back in the red suit for another instalment of R rated mayhem. It’ll be crude, cool and crazy!
3. Solo: a Star Wars Story
Do you have Star Wars fatigue yet? Me neither! This year’s ‘anthology’ film away from the main Star Wars series comes in the form of a Han Solo origin story. Alden Ehrenreich has the responsibility of giving audiences a taste of the young, pre-Skywalker Han Solo, and personally I can’t wait!
4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Jurassic World brought back everybody’s favorite dinosaur franchise with a bang a few years ago, and in 2018 we are back with Chris Pratt and co. to tackle another potentially disastrous run-in with our pre-historic favorites! You do have to wonder, how many times can these characters make the same mistakes before they realise, maybe this whole dinosaur cloning thing isn’t such a good idea!?

6. Incredibles 2
It’s been 14 years since we last checked in with the incredible Parr family, and if the teaser trailer is anything to go by, then Pixar are definitely going to be on to a winner with this animated sequel!
7. Mission: Impossible – Fallout
If Tom Cruise jumping from explosion to explosion is still your kind of thing after all these years, then you will be excited about the impending release of the latest Mission: Impossible movie. Fallout looks to be more of the same high octane action, perfect for a popcorn movie date night!
8. Ant-Man and the Wasp
Ant-Man is one of Marvel’s more quirky, indie spin-offs, but thankfully it’s also one of the most fun to watch! Paul Rudd is probably the most unlikely actor to play a kick-ass superhero, but for some reason, it really works!
