You'll never believe how many movies that are 10 years old in 2018 there are. Sometimes you don’t realize just how old you are until you hear something precious from your childhood or your adolescence turning out to be a decade old. Being 2018 now, I thought it would be fun to look at what movies came out in 2008. Honestly, 2008 doesn’t feel like that long ago but it is, strangely enough. After looking through the list of films, I chose ones that are well-known for good or bad reasons and have been seen by most of the masses. Here are some movies that are 10 years old in 2018. Enjoy!

1. Cloverfield
This found footage film helped continue the trend of other found footage films especially after the success of Paranormal Activity a year before. Now two other installments in the franchise will be released this year. This is just one of the movies that are 10 years old in 2018.
2. Iron Man
The first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe started in 2008 so it is appropriate for Avengers: Infinity War to come out exactly ten years later.
3. Mamma Mia!
This popular musical is now getting a sequel ten years later. So prepare for more ABBA and also remember that the sequel will be a decade old soon enough.
4. Marley & Me
This film touched our hearts in 2008 and still touches our hearts anytime we watched it over the past ten years.

6. The Dark Knight
The best Batman film to ever hit the big screen did so in 2008, gracing us with the privilege to see Heath Ledger’s awesome performance before his passing the same year. I can’t believe he has been gone that long.
7. The Happening
The beginning of M. Night Shyamalan’s decline. I’m a huge fan of Signs and Sixth Sense and I liked The Village so seeing this film disappointed me then and disappoints me and so many others now.
8. The Strangers
This creepy horror flick, like the other movies on this list, is getting a sequel, which also comes out this year. I believe this is the new trend of having sequels a decade a part.
9. Twilight
2008 was the year Twilight became a popular film franchise. I remember everyone at school reading the books, wearing the apparel from Hot Topic, and covering their Myspace pages with Twilight images. (The mention of Myspace made everything in this article sound like a relic).
10. WALL-E
Last is this cute Pixar film that still makes me afraid to sit at my computer screen or stare at my phone for too long. No floating chairs for me.
