There are just some classic film musicals you must watch. Feel like you need to amp up your movie experience? One way is to watch musicals turned into movies that have some very catchy tunes. Many musicals have been adapted for the big screen and, on some occasions, vice versa. For myself, I’ve never been into musicals as most have every line in the film sung in some sort of tune. I prefer the back and forth of regular dialogue to singing. So I’m sharing my favorite musicals thus far and hopefully I can expand this list in the future. For this list, no animation films, especially Disney animation, are listed as this could be a very long list and most animations are expected to have moments of characters bursting into song. Sorry Disney fans. Also, I’m selecting films that fit the typical genre of musicals. So, one of my favorite films, School of Rock, will not be included as there are no dialogue-based songs or dance numbers. Here are my best classic film musicals you must watch suggestions.
