1. The Notebook đ
If youâre in love đš with Ryan Goslingâs clean đŋ cut âī¸ look, his beard alone will make you cry in âThe Notebook.â If thatâs not enough to get you upset, Nicholas Sparks always has a đ °ī¸ way of writing đ stories that pull at our heart đ strings. "The Notebook" jumps between two 2ī¸âŖ stories, one 1ī¸âŖ about a đ °ī¸ young couple's troubled đŠ 1940s romance đš and an elderly đ´ husband and wife đ struggling to stay together đĢ in a đ °ī¸ modern-day nursing home. Plus, watching đ any love đŊ story where Ryan Gosling is the lead will bring us to tears just from wishing he was ours!
2. Titanic đŖđŊ
When you watch đē Titanic, youâll probably get tears of frustration from the whole âthey couldâve fit two 2ī¸âŖ people đģ on đ that boardâ situation. However, thereâs plenty of other things to cry over, so buy đ´ a đ °ī¸ boatload of tissues before you press play. If youâve somehow never seen the film, itâs about a man đ named Jack who meets Rose đš on đ the Titanic and slowly shows her that there is happiness đ and love âĨī¸ outside of her shallow rich đļ world đ that her mother created for her. Then, when they just start falling đ for each other, the Titanic hits an iceberg andâĻ well, you know the rest.
3. Ghost đģ
Your tissues will do double the work đ when you watch â "Ghost," because itâll make you cry AND laugh. I âšī¸ mean, Whoopie Goldberg is in it, and she never fails to lighten the mood. Despite her comedic presence, Sam, the main male đš character, dies right đ at the start of the movie. However, his spirit đģ is stuck on đ Earth đ to help âšī¸ protect his girlfriend Molly and avenge his death. Itâs a sad đ situation, but having a đ °ī¸ ghost đģ as a đ °ī¸ boyfriend isnât as bad as it would seem.
4. A Walk đ to Remember
If you think your life đą is rough, this movie đĨ will make your reality seem like đ flowers đ and sunshine. Like đ I âšī¸ mentioned earlier, I âšī¸ think it's safe to assume that you will always need a đ °ī¸ lot of tissues when watching đ a film đĨ adaptation of a đ °ī¸ Nicholas Sparks book. In "A Walk đ To Remember," Landon is a đ °ī¸ high school đĢ bad boy đąđŧ who falls in love đ with God-loving good đ girl đ Jamie, who slowly makes him change his ways. Sadly, though, Landon finds out that Jamie is dying of leukemia and tries to complete her "bucket list" before it's too late. If your bucket list doesnât contain âwatch a Walk đ to Remember and reevaluate my life đ choices,â then you need to add â it to the list.

5. My Girl đĻ đ§
If youâre too young to be a đ °ī¸ mother but too old to play đ˛ with dolls, âMy Girlâ is exactly what you need to feel like đ youâre a đ °ī¸ worried đ° parent. The movie đĨ is a đ °ī¸ huge tearjerker as it was a đ °ī¸ harsh reminder đ that life đą isn't fair, even at a đ °ī¸ young age. The story revolved around Vada and her best friend đ Thomas J. They have a đ °ī¸ childhood love đ that is innocent đŧ and pure, but sadly ends up đ being cut đš short. Everyone has days where they wish đĢ they were a đ °ī¸ child đ¨âđŠâđ§ again, but you need to remember how lucky đ you are that you grew up đ at all.
6. P.S. I Love đģ You
Everything Gerard Butler touches is golden, which is why so many women đ fantasize about his hands đ on đ them. Although Butler dies at the start of the movie, heâs the main focus of it. "P.S I Love đ You" depicts Holly Kennedy, who is married to Butlerâs character đž and has to deal with his death. However, before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a đ °ī¸ series đ of letters âĸī¸ that will help âšī¸ guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The next time đ that your boyfriend honks his horn đē instead of picking you up đ at the door, remind him of how Gerry helped Holly even after his death. Itâll give him the shove he needs to man đ¨ up.
7. Armageddon đ
If you really want to escape đ through a đ °ī¸ movie, this one 1ī¸âŖ will take đŦ you all the way to space. Itâs filled with stars-and not just the ones that sparkle ⨠in the sky. Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thorton, Liv Tyler, Ben Affleck, Owen Wilson, and Steve Buscemi are all in the film. Itâs an action-packed movie đĨ that centers around space đ exploration and the fact that a đ °ī¸ doomsday asteroid is set đŦ to collide with Earth. The only man đ that has a đ °ī¸ chance of stopping the asteroid and saving all of the mankind is an oil driller named Harry Stamper and his group of misfit drillers and geologists. Then there's the love đģ story between Harry's daughter đ¨âđŠâđ§ Grace and his employee A.J. that leaves đ˛ us wondering who will come to Grace (if they stop đ the asteroid) in the end? Her father, her fiancÊ, both, or neither.
8. My Sister's Keeper đ§
Your family đĒ isnât the only one 1ī¸âŖ with problems. Whether we want to admit it or not, weâre all pretty messed up. Thatâs just a đ °ī¸ trait that goes hand-in-hand with being human. This movie, adapted from a đ °ī¸ Jodi Picoult novel, is about an eleven-year-old named Anna Fitzgerald, who seeks to hire the successful lawyer Campbell Alexander in order to help âšī¸ her earn medical đĨ emancipation from her mother Sara, who wants Anna to donate her kidney to her sister đ¨âđŠâđ§âđĻ who's dying of leukemia.
9. Bambi đ˛ đŗ
Of course, I âšī¸ had to include a đ °ī¸ classic tearjerker and probably the first 1ī¸âŖ movie đĨ all of us ever cried over. The beginning of "Bambi" is the saddest Disney movie đĨ opening I âšī¸ had ever seen. (That is until the movie đĨ "Up" came out.) Even as the movie đĨ progress and things get happier, itâs hard not to think about the hardships those woodland animals have to face đŋ in the real world. Us humans are just too mean. Those adorable đ creatures deserve a đ °ī¸ higher spot on đ the food đĨ chain.
10. Brokeback Mountain đ
Heterosexual relationships have had it too good đ for too long. Itâs about time đ that a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ about two 2ī¸âŖ dudes earns the spotlight it deserves. Never has a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ come out that addressed being in the closet đ so accurately. And the passion đ between the two 2ī¸âŖ characters? It is truly amazing, and it's a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ that is a đ °ī¸ classic to see -- even if it does make you cry a đ °ī¸ ton!
11. The Blind đ Side
"The Blind đ Side" will make all of you football âŊ haters into fans-at least temporarily. It's a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ about a đ °ī¸ boy đĻđŊ that grew up đ in the bad part of town, but Sandra's character đ´ took him in and made him into something. It's a đ °ī¸ classic drama đ movie đĨ that is absolutely amazing and heart-wrecking to watch! Itâs even based on a đ °ī¸ true story, so donât go claiming that the characters đš are unrealistic. It all actually happened.
12. Seven 7ī¸âŖ Pounds
Will Smith is no đĢ longer in Bellaire, but heâs still as fresh đ as a đ °ī¸ prince. No đ matter how old he gets, his acting đ just never gets stale. This movie đĨ is so unique and different that you really have to watch â it closely to understand. Once you do, have a box đĻ of Kleenex handy! It's sad, it's dramatic, and it's free đ on đ Netflix!
13. Bridge đ to Terabithia
Donât feel babyish for watching đ this film, because itâs more mature than youâd think. In fact, I âšī¸ wouldnât want a đ °ī¸ child đŠâđŠâđ§ watching đ it because theyâre too young to have their hopes and dreams crushed. Of course, adults are already used to the disappointment of the world, so if you like đ fairy tales and you love đ imagination, this is the movie đĨ for you. One 1ī¸âŖ warning, though, you are going đ to cry at the end đ and it's going đŖ to kill đĒ you just a đ °ī¸ little bit inside.
14. The Lovely đ¸ Bones
This movie đĨ can be summed up đ with part of the title name: lovely. You already know that the book đ version is fantastic, but the movie? It brought it all to life đ and it's a đ °ī¸ deep, dark đ movie. It's about a guy đ¤ that killed a đ °ī¸ girl đ and it focuses on đ her ghost, which appears to help âšī¸ her family đŠâđŠâđ§âđ§ and the authorities find out who her murderer is. It sounds a đ °ī¸ tad scary, but arenât most things?
15. Selena đ
Selena was one 1ī¸âŖ of the greatest singers out there-and no, we arenât talking đą about the one 1ī¸âŖ who dated đ Justin Bieber. Weâre talking đĸ about the gorgeous lady, portrayed by Jennifer Lopez, who is stylish and just plain fabulous. I love đ the character đē that Jennifer made and I âšī¸ absolutely love đ the fact that they made a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ out of Selena's life. But since itâs based on a đ °ī¸ true story, it's also heartbreaking.
16. The Green Mile đ
If youâve never heard đ of this film, youâre not alone. But as you know, just because something is unpopular doesnât mean itâs unlovable (I mean, how popular đ are you, really?) This is one 1ī¸âŖ of those movies đĻ that is sure to pull some tears from your eyes. It's so, so hard to watch, but it's also a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ that is absolutely beautiful and so, so well-done.
17. Steel đŠ Magnolias
If you canât afford to visit the beauty đ đŊ parlor, you can at least afford to watch â a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ about once. While this is an old-school movie, it is also one 1ī¸âŖ of those classic films that is absolutely amazing to watch đē -- until you get to the end. Then it breaks your heart đ into a đ °ī¸ million pieces! I love đ watching đ this movie đĨ over and over again because truthfully, the characters đš are amazing, the cast is incredible and everyone did such a đ °ī¸ great đ job!
18. Stepmom đ
Whenever thereâs a đ °ī¸ step-mom in a đ °ī¸ movie, sheâs always considered âevil.â Well, thatâs just not fair đĄ to all those lovely, concerned đŗ step-moms out there. They deserve some credit and itâs about time đ they got it! This movie đĨ does have a đ °ī¸ great đ ending, but it does leave you with the question, does she really die? When? How long after? It's so hard to watch, but it's such a đ °ī¸ great đ movie!
19. The Pursuit of Happyness đ
Whatâs the point âŦī¸ of life, you ask? Hitchhikerâs Guide to the Galaxy đ will say â42,â but this movie đĨ will say itâs the pursuit of happiness. If you've ever been down đŖ and out and really trying to build đ§ yourself back đ up, this is the movie đĨ for you! This is a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ all about reinventing yourself and really pulling yourself out of a đ °ī¸ hole. A deep, deep hole.
20. The Vow đ°
After watching đ a đ °ī¸ really bad film, you might wish đĢ for memory loss, but itâs not something to joke đ about and "The Vow" will make you realize why. Itâs about a đ °ī¸ woman đē who gets into a car đ accident and loses her memory -- all of it minus â the past, where she still talked to her parents đ¨âđŠâđ§âđ§ and was engaged đ to someone else besides her now husband. Imagine spending hours â of your time đĻ listening đ to your mateâs complaints, buying her countless dinners, and making her fall đ in love âĨī¸ with you-and then she forgets it all?
21. The Boy đĻđŊ in Striped Pajamas
If you want to be touched, you donât need a đ °ī¸ man. You just need to pop this movie đĨ into your blue đĸ ray player. Iâve never thought đŦ a đ °ī¸ movie đĨ would tug at my heart đ to the point âŦī¸ when it starts hurting đ until I âšī¸ saw the movie đĨ "The Boy đąđŧ In Striped Pajamas." The movie đĨ is about a đ °ī¸ 9-year-old boy, Bruno, growing up đ during World đ War 2 in Berlin. His father forbade him from exploring his surroundings, but like đ any curious â little boy, Bruno decided to do the opposite. Through his exploration, he meets a đ °ī¸ boy đąđŧ his age đĩ named Shmuel, who is separated from his family đ¨âđŠâđ§ in a đ °ī¸ concentration camp. From that point đ on, Bruno decides to make it his mission to help âšī¸ Shmuel reunite with his family. As a đ °ī¸ viewer, you canât help âšī¸ but admire Brunoâs innocence and nonjudgmental mindset, his selflessness and his bravery. Itâs a đ °ī¸ touching story that everyone should see!
22. Up! đ
Who says animated movies đĨ arenât as good đ as live action đŦ ones? Some may find it hard to connect with a đ °ī¸ cartoon character, but the way this movie đĨ is made, it breaks down đ§ that boundary and connects with your emotions on a đ °ī¸ whole other level. You find so much sympathy for the main character đ´ for the loss of his loved â¤ī¸ one 1ī¸âŖ that you would be surprised đ¨ yourself by the amount of waterworks youâll exude! Youâll never be able to look đ at a đ °ī¸ balloon đ the same way again.
23. One 1ī¸âŖ Day
Graduation đ day âī¸ is better than any birthday đ because youâll see your enemies for the last time, youâll no đ longer have to complete useless assignments, and if youâre Emma, youâll meet the love đš of your life. The story revolves around Emma and Dexter who first 1ī¸âŖ meet on đ their graduation đ day, and although they are polar opposites, life đ keeps bringing them back đ together đĢ on đ the same date đŦ --July 15th. Whether they end up đ together đĢ or grow đą apart for good, youâll have to find out for yourself! Youâll never get through a July đ 15th without remembering this film, so you better enjoy it!
24. The Last Song
You might hate đ watching đ her swing naked on a đ °ī¸ wrecking ball, but the girl đ can act. Some might consider this as just another teenage movie đĨ but it is an adaptation of a đ °ī¸ Nicholas Sparks book, so you canât just give up đ all hope. In reality, there is a đ °ī¸ lot of substance and good đ acting. You might actually be surprised đ¯ at how many moments you will be able to relate to and how many times your eyes đ will start to tear up. Aside from the romantic đˇ plot, there is more depth to the storyline due to an estranged relationship đ between Ronnie and her father. Their family đ¨âđŠâđ§ storyline is what stood out to me the most, and maybe youâll feel the same way!
25. Marley & Me
If your parents đŠâđŠâđ§âđĻ refuse to let you get a đ °ī¸ dog, "Marley & Me" will show you why that decision is probably for the best. No đ matter how much fun youâd have rolling đ˛ around in the dirt with your furry friend, heâll eventually get buried under it. This movie đĨ will make you feel like đ you're actually growing up đ with Marley because it shows the dog's entire life, which just so happens to include the end đ of it. The last few scenes of the film đš feels like đ you have to say goodbye to your own dog đ that you've had for the past hour and a đ °ī¸ half-so imagine having one 1ī¸âŖ for ten đ whole human years!
26. Remember Me
If you've never seen this particular movie, you've got to. Of course, it has the standard troubled-teen in it that falls in love, but what you don't know is the twist at the end đ that makes it so, so sad. I âšī¸ won't ruin it for you but watch đē it.
27. Schindler's List
There are a đ °ī¸ few movies đĻ that everyone should see and this is one 1ī¸âŖ of them. It's a đ °ī¸ classic, is one 1ī¸âŖ that will make you cry, it's one 1ī¸âŖ that is so beautiful. It's about saving the lives of Jews during the Holocaust. The fact that it's a đ °ī¸ true story is amazing.
28. The Color đ¨ Purple
Whoopi Goldberg in this movie đĨ is the best. Not only is this role made for her, but this movie đĨ will make you laugh, cry and go through every single 1ī¸âŖ emotion đ you've ever experienced. I've watched this movie đĨ about a đ °ī¸ hundred đ¯ different times and it is still perfect.
29. Fried Green âģī¸ Tomatoes
This childhood is breathtaking and the way that they switch between the stories? It is amazing. This movie đĨ will make you lose it when ninny and Evelyn pass đĢ right đ by Ruth's grave. It's sad, it's funny đ and it is beautiful.
30. Boy's Don't Cry
Hilary Swank in this movie đĨ is amazing. It's hard to watch, especially in this day đ and age, but it is still such a đ °ī¸ powerful movie đĨ to really understand what trans people đģ go through and what they fear.
There's nothing like đģ a good đ cry, especially when you've been feeling like đ the world đ has been weighing down đ on đ your shoulders lately. It can also be a đ °ī¸ great đ way to bond with your girlfriends, Mom, or any other important woman đ§đģ in your life. To be able to connect with characters đŖ and a đ °ī¸ story so much that it makes you cry is an amazing feeling and thus why tearjerker chick đŖ flicks are so popular. What movie đĨ makes you cry like đ a baby đŧ every time â you watch đē it?
